Terms and Beta Notice
Important: LogVector is pre-release software. Verify every imported, suggested, or automatically logged entry before treating it as final. LogVector is not for navigation or operational flight decisions.
1. The beta
LogVector is a pilot logbook app operated by LogVector LLC ("we", "us"). During the beta, features may change and the service may contain errors or be interrupted. Information from schedules, tracking, weather, maps, automation, and third-party services may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.
2. Your flight record is your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing every entry and for determining whether your records meet the requirements that apply to you. Keep independent backups and use the app's export tools regularly. Do not rely on an unverified entry, total, currency calculation, or automated result as your authoritative record.
3. Not for navigation or flight operations
LogVector is not an approved navigation, dispatch, weather-briefing, or flight-planning source. Maps, routes, airport data, weather, schedules, alerts, timers, and tracking are informational only. For navigation and operational decisions, use current, approved, and authoritative sources.
4. Your account and content
Keep your account secure and provide only content you are allowed to use. Do not misuse the service, interfere with it, attempt unauthorized access, or use it for unlawful activity. You retain responsibility for the logbook, schedules, photos, files, and other content you submit.
5. Sharing your schedule and Career history
Family & Friends sharing shows your schedule to people you invite, exactly as scoped by you. You are responsible for whom you invite and what you share with them. Career history is a separate, default-off choice. When enabled, it shares redacted per-flight data that is detailed enough for the recipient to reconstruct individual flights; it is not merely a totals card. What someone has already seen, cached, or captured on their own device cannot be remotely erased; from the moment you stop sharing, they receive nothing new. Live updates depend on third-party flight data and can be late, incomplete, or absent. Never rely on them operationally.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, who processes it, and how to export or delete it.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue beta features, and may restrict an account that threatens the service or other users. If these terms or the beta notice change materially, we will publish a new version and may ask you to acknowledge it in the app again.
8. Beta service provided as available
To the extent permitted by law, this beta is provided as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Subscriptions, trials and add-on packs
This section applies from the day LogVector offers paid plans in the app. Until then, sections 1 to 8 are the whole agreement, and the promise to beta testers in 9.10 stands.
9.1 Plans and prices. LogVector offers two paid plans: Standard, at $99 per year or $9.99 per month, and Pro, at $149 per year or $14.99 per month. These are our list prices in US dollars. The price you pay is the one configured in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase, shown in your currency, plus any tax the store adds. The logbook itself (adding, editing, deleting and exporting your entries) is free on every plan, and stays free if you never subscribe.
9.2 The free trial. Every plan starts with two weeks of Pro, free. You choose your plan (Standard or Pro, monthly or annual) when you start, and for the first 14 days the app gives you Pro features whichever plan you chose. When the trial ends, the store charges you for the plan you chose (Standard if you chose Standard) unless you cancelled before the end of the trial, following the store's own cut-off for cancelling a trial. The trial is offered once; a later subscription from the same store account starts paid.
9.3 Automatic renewal. A subscription renews by itself at the end of each period (every month or every year) at the then-current price for your plan, charged to your store payment method, until you cancel. If we change a price, the store tells you before the new price applies to a renewal, following that store's rules.
9.4 Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; the app links you to the right place. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep your plan until then, and the remainder of the period is not refunded. Deleting the app, or deleting your LogVector account, does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store.
9.5 Changing plans. You can change your plan in the app. Moving up from Standard to Pro takes effect immediately; the store charges or credits the difference for the rest of your current period, by its own rules. Moving down from Pro to Standard takes effect at your next renewal; you keep Pro until then. Switching between monthly and annual billing on the same plan takes effect at your next renewal or straight away with your unused time carried over, depending on the store; the store shows you which before you confirm.
9.6 Payment, the stores and refunds. All purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store you buy through is the seller: it takes your payment, applies tax, issues your receipt and handles refunds under its own terms. We never see your card or bank details. If you want a refund, ask the store you bought through; we cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
9.7 When a paid plan ends. Your logbook is never locked. Whatever your plan, and with no plan at all, you can add, edit, delete and export every entry, use every free feature, and delete your account. When a paid plan ends (because you cancelled, a trial ended without a payment, a payment failed, or a refund was granted), only the paid services it included stop: live flight status and its alerts, automatic logging, flight lookups, roster reading, paper-logbook scanning and sharing invitations. Everything already logged, imported, scanned or auto-logged stays in your logbook. People who already follow you keep following. Alerts set up for flights you have not flown yet may be withdrawn when the plan that set them up ends.
9.8 Add-on packs. Packs of extra paper-logbook scan pages (25 pages, $39.99) and extra older-flight lookups (100 lookups, $9.99) are one-time purchases, not subscriptions: they do not renew. As with subscriptions, the price you pay is the one the store shows at the time of purchase. Units you buy never expire and work on every plan, including Free. The app spends your plan's own allowance first and your extra units only when that allowance is used up or your plan does not include the feature. Packs are bought and refunded through the store. If a pack is refunded, the whole pack is removed from your balance; pages already transcribed and lookups already made stay in your logbook and are not undone, and your balance never goes below zero.
9.9 Usage limits. Each paid service has usage limits (per minute, per day and per month) that the app shows you. They keep the service affordable and reliable for everyone and may be adjusted. Reaching a limit is not a fault in the service.
9.10 Beta testers. Beta access is free while testing. Paid plans are planned for launch, and beta participation does not include lifetime free access. Beta testers will receive at least 30 days' notice and a founder conversion offer before any paid change. Nothing will be charged automatically. When the notice period ends, a beta account moves to the free plan unless you have subscribed; nothing is ever charged unless you start a subscription yourself through the store.
9.11 What you keep if you stop paying. Everything you have logged stays yours: every flight, aircraft, endorsement, qualification, schedule, hotel note, scanned page and auto-logged entry, with its edit history. You keep the free features (manual entry, file imports, roster import for recognised formats, totals and currency, the audit, the map, the weather brief, hotel notes, exports, and following the pilots who share with you) and any extra units you bought. What stops is the paid enrichment listed in 9.7. Nothing is deleted because a subscription ends, and nothing is charged unless you subscribe again.
